Creative Concepts - videographer’s view

Here are some ways to creatively impress your guests at your wedding using video…

1. Video Invitations! Why settle for a traditional invitation when you can send each & every guest a DVD with a photo montage of you & your finace? DVDs can either reference or link directly to a website where your guests can RSVP. You can also put this video online & send out e-mail invitations and save on mailing costs! Many guests will appreciate this clutter-less, creative and simple way to RSVP. Older guests, however, may still want the traditional invitation, so you may want to come up with a way to incorporate all methods.

2. Video Centerpieces. Think “Harry Potter” and the moving photographs. You can either have photo montages spotlighting the guests sitting at each table, or elegance videos of the bride & groom shot prior to the big day along with stories of your courtship.

3. Video Presentation. There are a variety of presentation options to entertain your wedding guests. One of the most popular is the photo montage. Creative videographers can also create “concept videos” where the bride & groom get to star in their own comedy, drama or music video. One video gaining in popularity as more & more videographers are offering this service, is the Same Day Edit where a partially pre-produced video is shown along with footage of the bridal prep and ceremony from that day! Your guests will be able to see some of the “behind-the-scenes” footage that they weren’t privy to as well as seeing themselves up on the big screen.

Talk to your videographer about how you can use some of these concepts to enhance your wedding day!
